A Thoroughbred Italian Sports Car Eligible for Prestigious Concours and Driving Events

Combining timeless Pinin Farina styling with brilliant Alfa Romeo engineering, the Giulietta Spider is among the most sought-after Italian sports cars of the 1950s, particularly in its pure, original 750-series form. The top-of-the-line Spider Veloce, equipped with twin-choke Weber carburetors, cold-air box, and high-performance internal components, produced 90 hp from its 1.3-liter twin-cam engine, transforming the elegant runabout into a thoroughbred sports car. In total, just 2,796 examples of the 750F Spider Veloce were produced through 1959.

This magnificent 1958 Giulietta Spider Veloce is the recipient of a meticulous, nut-and-bolt restoration commissioned by its previous caretaker, a devoted Alfa Romeo collector. Between 2009 and 2011, marque specialist Alfisti Motorsports of Bloomington, Illinois, oversaw the cosmetic restoration, while Richard Stevens of Florida rebuilt the car’s engine and gearbox. A large dossier of records attests to the high-quality nature of the work performed.

This attention to detail resulted in the Giulietta earning top honors at the 2011 AROC National Convention in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to its concours accolades, the Spider Veloce has successfully completed several long-distance rallies including the 2018 Raduno Classico and the exclusive 2019 Pebble Beach® Motoring Classic. Benefiting from a recent service and detailing, the Spider Veloce remains in excellent condition throughout, presents beautifully in its classic Italian racing red livery, and most importantly retains its matching-numbers engine, as confirmed by the accompanying Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin.

Despite their impressive performance, gorgeous styling, and eligibility for many prestigious rallies and concours d’elegance, outstanding examples of the 750F Spider Veloce are few and far between. Offered from a distinguished stable of coachbuilt Italian sports cars, this professionally restored and event-proven Alfa Romeo presents a rare opportunity for discerning collectors.
