Gooding & Company has the unique honor and privilege of presenting the Estate of Mark Smith Auction, featuring the personal collection of the late Mark J. Smith, offered entirely without reserve. A revered and incredibly knowledgeable enthusiast and collector, Mark Smith primarily championed original and unrestored Classic Era automobiles, and by the time of his passing, had amassed an incredible and varied assemblage of the greatest historic vehicles. Many of these vehicles will be offered at the Estate of Mark Smith Auction, which will take place on Friday, April 7, at Mark’s own Midland Motors museum, a former Chrysler dealership that he had transformed into a showcase for his most prized automotive possessions. The live auction event will be preceded by a viewing, open to registered bidders and press members only, at a nearby location in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Gooding & Company presents and conducts the Estate of Mark Smith Auction under the authority of John J. Rendemonti, Executor of the Estate of Mark J. Smith, duly appointed by the Circuit Court of the State of New Hampshire, Probate Division, Case No. 312-2022-ET-00072. All vehicles in this Auction have been in long-term static storage and may not be currently operational. They will require mechanical attention prior to any road use.
