The 8C Competizione marked Alfa Romeo’s return to the US and a renewed commitment to creating exclusive, high-performance cars. Conceived by the company’s Centro Stile design center, the 8C was endowed with a sleek, aerodynamic body crafted from carbon fiber, incorporating several classic Alfa Romeo styling cues. Powered by a Ferrari-developed 4.7-liter V-8 that developed 444 hp, the 8C sent power through a six-speed, automated, paddle-shift gearbox to the rear wheels. Manufactured from 2007 to 2009, only 500 units were built in total.

This stunning example is finished in uncommon Black Metallic over a Black leather interior with contrasting red stitching. Completed by the factory on July 28, 2008, this 8C was delivered through Ferrari Maserati of San Francisco to its current owner on December 5, 2008. Well equipped, this 8C was specified with numerous options, including a leather headliner and transmission tunnel, full carbon kit, red-painted brake calipers, navigation system with iPod integration, Bose audio system, cloverleaf fender badges, and a luggage set.

One of just 84 examples made available to the US market, this 8C showed less than 6,400 miles at the time of cataloguing and has remained within the owner’s significant collection of some of the world’s greatest Italian sports cars, receiving maintenance work as required. This sale represents an opportunity to purchase a limited-edition Alfa Romeo that will surely become only more collectible over the years.
