The Ferrari 328 was Maranello’s final version of its highly successful mid-engine sports car. Introduced in 1985 with suspension and braking improvements over its predecessor, a more powerful 3.2-liter V-8, and beautifully updated styling, many consider the 328 to be Ferrari’s most reliable and well-rounded road car.
Completed in December 1988 and specified for the North American market, this 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS was finished in iconic Rosso (Red) over Nero (Black) trim. In February 1989, it was exported to Wide World Ferrari in Spring Valley, New York. First sold to an owner in Jersey City, New Jersey, the car has spent the majority of its existence in the New York area. A cherished possession of fastidious enthusiasts and benefiting from minimal use, it remains in pristine, original condition, having accumulated just 8,603 miles when catalogued.
This 328 GTS was Ferrari Classiche certified in 2016, confirming that it retains its correct, matching-numbers drivetrain components. The original Red Book and Ferrari Classiche plaque are included in the sale, as is a records dossier verifying its meticulous service. In summer 2023, DriverSource of Houston completed a timing belt service, refreshed the brake, fuel, and cooling systems, and fitted new, period-correct Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, ensuring this immaculately preserved, low-mileage Ferrari 328 GTS stands ready to charm its next devoted caretaker.
