Following the extraordinary success of the 100/4, Austin-Healey released a high-performance version of the roadster, the 100M, which was equipped with the Le Mans package. This package included larger SU H6 carburetors, a cold air box, high-lift cam, increased compression, stiffer suspension, and a racy louvered hood with leather strap. In all, just 640 examples of the 100M were built by the factory and today they are among the most desirable Austin-Healeys.

This gorgeous US-delivery example is one of these factory-built 100M models and was acquired by the consignor in 2018 from its long-term owner, a meticulous Healey enthusiast with over 40 years of experience with the marque. A summary on file compiled by the previous owner detailing the restoration specifically notes that the Austin-Healey retains all its original body panels and importantly, that its body no. 12205, remains stamped into its bootlid, louvered hood, and cockpit surrounds. Around 2017, the incredible photo-documented restoration was completed, with the Healey resplendent in its stunning period-correct colors of Ice Blue Metallic with Old English White coves.

Today, the 100M is accompanied by an owner’s manual and side curtains, as well as its BMIHT, Worldwide Le Mans Registry, and Austin-Healey Concours Registry certificates. With extraordinary attention to detail lavished on every aspect of the restoration, this 100M stands as one of the finest examples of its kind and represents a rare and exciting opportunity for even the most discerning British sports car enthusiasts.
