Renowned for innovative and effective engineering throughout its rich history, Italy’s Lancia introduced the Flavia in 1961, which served as the basis of one of the company’s most successful and versatile automobile lines. Recognized as Italy’s first front-wheel drive series-production automobile, the Flavia featured outstanding packaging and interior space with a low center of gravity, thanks to its “flat-four” aluminum powerplant. First offered as a Berlina and followed by a Pininfarina-bodied coupe and Vignale convertible, between 1963 and 1969, the Flavia was also offered with uprated 1800 cc power and distinctive coupe coachwork designed by Ercole Spada for Carrozzeria Zagato. As few as 628 examples of the Flavia Sport Zagato were built, including just 32 equipped with Kugelfischer fuel injection, yielding the Iniezione designation.

Formerly owned by noted Italian car collector Leo Schigiel, this extremely rare, Zagato-bodied 1966 Lancia Flavia Sport 1.8 Iniezione coupe benefits handsomely from a recently completed restoration and sports an immaculate paint finish, chrome, and interior. Understood to have been the eighth from the last example built, its odometer displayed just 3,615 miles at the time of cataloguing. Renowned for its quickness and agility on the road, this exceedingly rare and highly advanced coachbuilt Lancia is an immensely collectible and enjoyable find. This is a truly rare opportunity to acquire a splendid example of what has to be one of the most striking and unusual high-performance GT cars ever produced in the collaboration between Lancia and Zagato.
