For the 1967 model year, Chevrolet introduced the most powerful production Corvette to date – the 427 cid L71. Utilizing 11:1 compression, an aggressive solid-lifter camshaft, large valve heads, and three twin-choke Holley carburetors, the L71 package delivered 435 hp at 5,800 rpm. Coupled to a close-ratio, four-speed gearbox, the 427/435 delivered monumental performance.

Delivered in the rare combination of Marina Blue over bright blue interior to Don Allen Chevrolet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this Roadster was specified with some of the most desirable performance features available. Ordered with the range-topping L71 engine, close-ratio M21 gearbox, transistor ignition, and 4:11 Posi-Traction rear axle, this Corvette was one of the most potent American production cars of its day. In addition, the car was generously outfitted with AM/FM radio, tinted windshield, power steering and power brakes, and is further enhanced with bolt-on aluminum wheels and off-road exhaust.

Expertly restored by a leading Corvette specialist in 2004, this striking Roadster has achieved many notable honors, including NCRS Top Flight, Bloomington Gold Silver Certification, Gold Spinner, and AACA Senior awards. Accompanied by original trim and VIN tags, tank sticker copy, ownership history from new, and judging sheets, this superb L71 Corvette 427/435 Roadster is a pinnacle of performance for America’s first sports car.
