Brought to market in 2005, the 997 represented a significant overhaul of the Porsche 911 range. While using much of the 996's underlying platform, the 997's most obvious updates were a return to more traditional aesthetics, including upright, oval headlights, and a more refined cabin. Drivers craving more performance than the standard Carrera could upgrade to a Carrera S featuring a 3.8-liter engine rated at 355 hp, "Big Red" brakes, and PASM electronic damping control.

This 2008 Porsche 997 Carrera S is finished in paint-to-sample Mexico Blue over a black leather interior. Highly specified, this Carrera S was equipped with numerous extra-cost options including heated sport seats, Bose sound package, sport exhaust system, red taillights, and aluminum footrest; the gearshift, hand brake, and steering wheel were all trimmed in Alcantara. The rare factory-installed Aerokit added a GT3-derived front spoiler and fixed rear wing. Some discreet personalizations and accents have been added, such as a color-matched center console and hard-back seats.

Registering under 31,000 miles at the time of cataloguing, this Carrera S presents in commensurately excellent condition throughout and is offered with books, tools, keys, tire compressor, build sheet, and maintenance records. Offered in the likely singular combination of eye-catching Mexico Blue paint with factory Aerokit, this highly optioned example is sure to satisfy any Porsche enthusiast.
