This stunning E-Type Roadster was restored by renowned specialist Dave Ferguson and completed in 2004. It was a total restoration down to every last nut, bolt, and washer. Every body panel was taken down to bare metal and refinished with multiple coats of Glasurit primer and urethane enamel paint. No expense was spared to renew the car’s components including a complete engine, gearbox, and suspension rebuild. Specific attention was paid in making sure every painted component received the correct factory color and finish to ensure complete authenticity.
The restoration was documented with over 400 photographs, and digital copies remain on file. Upon completion, the Jaguar won First Place at the 2004 Classics By The Sea Concours in Half Moon Bay, California, and First Place at the 2005 Palo Alto Concours d’Elegance in Stanford, California.
The gorgeous E-Type is finished today in Opalescent Silver Gray metallic with red leather and offset with a beige canvas top. It has been maintained in current ownership and received over $10,000 in service work in 2020 at Motoring Investments of San Diego. The E-Type is accompanied by a BMIHT Certificate, books, tools, and records. For the collector seeking an outstanding E-Type, this example deserves serious consideration.
