Nearly 30 Years of Sparing Use by a Handful of Connecticut-Based Owners
A Well-Optioned, Low-Mileage Example with Matching-Numbers Engine
Remains in Lovely Well-Preserved Condition
Documented with Porsche COA, Warranty Booklet, and CARFAX Vehicle History Report
Accompanied by Original Manuals and Tool Kit
While the biggest news for Porsche in 1986 may have been the reintroduction of the Turbo model to the US, the venerable 3.2-liter Carrera continued to enjoy immense popularity. This modestly used example epitomizes the brilliance of Stuttgart’s mid-1980s premium model.
According to a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this Carrera completed assembly on November 7, 1985, finished in Guards Red paint and trimmed with a black partial-leather interior. Specified for the US, the 911 was desirably equipped with a short-throw shifter, electrically adjustable sport seats, front and rear spoilers, forged Fuchs alloy wheels, Pirelli tires, an electric sunroof, and a Blaupunkt Monterey radio.
Originally retailed in January 1986 through Avon Porsche of Avon, Connecticut, the well-equipped 911 remained in Connecticut through at least late 2013. The original warranty booklet features maintenance entries with gradually ascending mileage figures, and when sold from Maureen Coffin of Farmington to Richard Granata of Windsor in October 2011, the odometer displayed 38,345 miles.
Showing about 50,800 miles at the time of cataloguing, this unmodified 911 Carrera remains in lovely condition, has been well-preserved, and has been serviced at Porsche Jacksonville in current ownership. The 911 is accompanied by its original manuals and tool kit, and is a stellar example of one of the marque’s most usable and celebrated models.
